Rehugo Analysis: Universal Truth - Quotes
A. "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof." This is a quote from the American writer, Richard Bach. He wrote novels that discussed his life's philosophy of morality.
"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories. " This was written by Mary Anne Evans, who is more popularly known by her pen name of George Eliot. She was an English novelist, journalist and translator during the Victorian Era.
B. Both quotes reveal the need to have people that you are emotionally connected to. In the first quote, Bach is illustrating that you do not need to be related to be considered family. Often, you find that the people you find "joy" in and "respect" are your friends, rather than your actual blood relatives. Eliot discusses the necessity to have other "human souls" that you are connected to by a strong bond. Those "silent unspeakable memories" are what link you to the others in your life, the ones you can call your family.
C. Today, the need to have people in your life that you share charished memories with and people who bring you joy and happiness are still a necessity. No matter the time period, whether it was written during the Victorian Era, like Eliot's quote, or in the 1970's, like Bach's quote, the importance of having others in your life to support you is essential. The connection you share with your family will always help you prevail in life.
