REHUGO- Universal Truths

A. "We are all inventors, each sailing out on a voyage of discovery, guided each by a private chart, of which there is no duplicate. The world is all gates, all opportunities."- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood."- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ralph Waldo Emerson was the author behind these insightful quotes. Emerson was a genius of literature, contributing lectures, essays and poetry which have been praised by many audiences. With his greatest achievements, he has secured the title of the leading voice of intellectual culture in the United States.

B. The two powerful statements possess both inspiring words and motivational meaning.
In the first quote, Emerson opens with "We are all inventors... of which there is no duplicate." By this he insists that we each wield the ability to create, which is what makes us all unique and different. There is a limitless boundary in which mankind can live and prosper whether it be good or bad intentions; the possibilities are infinite. Our purpose for creating is driven by any source in which that being desires. The creator creates for their own beliefs, reasoning and faith, which is what Emerson has conceptualized.

Emerson also incorporates his own interpretation of certain meanings of life. In his quote he is establishing that a person must experience certain situations in which they learn valuable meaning. By this a person will truly experience what life is really about, unlike one who fears all that may be a risk. That person will never know the true meaning of life.

C. These two quotes can both be found today in life for as long as mankind and literature exist. With society evolving each day, one can only evolve continually. People have continued to create, whether it be pieces of literature, to new technological advances. Some have taken these opportunities and some have ignored its call. By taking that risk, it provides an example on Emerson’s second quote. If people did not take risks, they would not feel life’s intentions. Life would be meaningless today if society suddenly decided to stop learning lessons.
