REHUGO ANAYLSIS - Universal Truths

A. While the spirit of neighborliness was important on the frontier because neighbors were so few, it is even more important now because our neighbors are so many. ~Lady Bird Johnson

Our most basic instinct is not for survival but for family. Most of us would give our own life for the survival of a family member, yet we lead our daily life too often as if we take our family for granted. ~Paul Pearshall

B. One talks about a neighbor. The other talks about the family.

A.The first quote talks about when you first move into a neighborhood there seems to be like less neighbors around you. Although, because you moved in and are "new" in the community, you gain friends through them. They have become important to you because you grew a bond to these people. Which technically they have almost become family to you, making them "so many."

B. This quote talks about family being one of the most valuable things in our life. Even though in the back of our mind, it isn't the thing that comes first. You'd do anything for your family when the time is needed, but you won't do anything when it's out of the blue. We take our family for granted cause we run around and do as we wish, but in the end our family is all that really matters.

C. Both quotes can be relevant to todays lifetime. As of the first quote, when you first live in a neighborhood, you don't know anyone but your own family. As you start settling down and meet your neighbors, they grow on you becoming friends or acquaintances. The second quote relates to today because of teenagers. You don't necessarily forget about your family, you just put them behind everything else in front of you. You'll live through your day, doing your thing until your family needs you. When one family member is gone, you'll realize how much it will impact your family.
