REHUGO ANALYSIS- Political Cartoon.

A. Cartoon Attached- Made by Jack Ohman.

B. This cartoon talks about how much time has changed since African Americans have been able to recieve rights and become part of Americas society. In 1955 African Americans were not privilaged to have civil rights compared to "white" Americans. A women named Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat because she believed that she had the right to sit anywhere she wanted to. She believed that she had human rights as well as any person in that community. As once upon a time African Americans were considered less superior than "white" Americans, a man named Barack Obama is now residing at the white house.

C. The effectiveness of the cartoon is based on the setting of the picture as well as the two people who are in it. The setting sets the message by allowing the audience remember what had happened back in 1955 where Rosa Parks had refused to leave her seat just because she was not white. How once a African American were considered not even human but as slaves, they have prospered and to the point that an black man is now a president.

D. This cartoon to me is very inspirational because it allows me and other viewers see that one human being can change the world. Rosa Parks not only did she refuse to sit somewhere else but showed the world that America needed to revise its constitution and see that everyone is equal in God's eyes. This cartoon shows me that anythig can happen by example of Barack Obama, who is now the president of the United States of America.
